Biography

As an author for Harlequin Romance, Barbara Allen published three romance novels. Her novel, The Gay Gordons, retails on the used book market for upward of $45.00 and is considered very collectible.

She was also known as Vivian Stuart, Alex Stuart, Fiona Finlay, Robyn Stuart, V.A. Stuart, and William Stuart Long. She was born on 2 January 1914 in Rangoon (Burma), and her maiden real was Violet Vivian Finlay, but is well-know by her married name Stuart (though some references cite the name as Vivian Stuart Mann, Mann being the last name of her third husband, Cyril William Mann). She married third times during her lifetime, and had four children: Gillian Rushton, Jennifer Gooch, and the twins: Vary and Valerie Stuart. She passed away in August 1986 in York.
